Wow! This is just better quality ingredients. Had the Hojicha latte with taro. The taste is unique and the taro paste is on another level. Thank you Bopomofo for stepping up and not being just another tea place.

My wife and I originally came out for ice cream at Handel’s, but we happened to notice this spot next door and decided to give it a try. Since I had been fasting for more than 38 hours, I was definitely ready for a great meal—and wow, was this the right choice. Growing up, Honey Walnut Shrimp was always one of my favorite dishes. It was a must-order whenever we visited places like Kim Su or Seafood Cove. Never in a million years did I imagine those flavors could be transformed into a burger, so of course I had to try it. I was hooked from the very first bite. By the second bite, I was ready to marry it. The shrimp patty was incredible, and the combination of honey-wasabi-yuzu sauce, candied walnuts, and pickled jalapeños created an explosion of flavors. Every bite delivered the perfect balance of sweet, savory, tangy, and spicy—it was one big party in my mouth. If you haven’t tried this burger yet, do yourself a favor and order one. The only exception is if you’re allergic to shrimp!

This place has the best matcha in OC. Even though I order the same drink most of the time, it's good to know that there are good variety of matcha options + seasonal drinks. Also, it's highly appreciated that there are just right amount of ice in the drink to keep it cool, not watery. And people who work here are always very nice and friendly, you really feel welcomed.

BOPOMOFO uses authentic and qualify Taiwanese teas and their options of flavors are very unique. I like their sesame milk and guava tea. I would really love to try their LA Times features Nori fish Sandwich but unfortunately it was sold out today. Next time!

There was no line when I arrived. We tried using the kiosk and it was easy to use. 1st you enter your phone number and you will be able to see pictures of all the drinks. Then you can pick your drink accordingly and choose the toppings, level of sweetness / ice. If you order at the cashier, you can only see the name of the drink on the screen behind the cashier. The screen keeps switching to show different drinks collections. They also have a physical menu that you can pick up from the cashier to look through the drink they offered. Today was National Boba Day and they gave us free boba topping to our drinks. We ordered the blueberry matcha and honey roasted Oolong milk tea. The matcha has perfect bitterness blend in the drink with the blueberry sweetness. The honey roasted Oolong milk tea, although I can taste the earthiness of the tea but not much of Oolong aroma. I asked which is the most popular drink and they told me is the matcha guava. I will try that drink next time.
